Community Pool Spend Proposal: Nufaa – Integrating Real-World Everyday Services (Cash Power, Airtime & Data) with LUNC/USTC Utility for The Gambia

Nufaa × Terra Classic

LUNC Staking-Powered Rewards & Real-World Utility Marketplace

Applicant: Nufaa Technologies Limited
Founder: Alhassan Bah
Proposed pilot: 90–120 days
Project status: Website built; mobile app submitted for review.

1. Project Overview

Nufaa is developing a digital marketplace for everyday services, including mobile airtime, data, electricity tokens and digital vouchers, initially focusing on The Gambia and opportunities in other markets.

Our proposed Terra Classic integration would connect LUNC staking rewards with everyday digital commerce.

Customers would retain control of their own LUNC and stake it through an appropriate staking provider or validator. The staking rewards they earn could then be used towards eligible purchases through Nufaa, subject to the agreed technical, operational and compliance arrangements.

The objective is to create a practical use case for LUNC, encourage participation in the Terra Classic ecosystem and explore a sustainable model that connects blockchain participation with everyday needs.

2. How the Proposed Model Would Work

  1. Customers hold LUNC: Customers acquire and retain their LUNC in a wallet they control.

  2. Customers stake LUNC: They delegate eligible LUNC to a selected validator using a supported wallet or staking interface.

  3. Staking rewards accumulate: Rewards are generated according to network conditions, validator performance, fees and the customer’s staked balance.

  4. Rewards support purchases: Through a clearly defined and authorised process, eligible staking rewards could be used towards airtime, data, electricity tokens and other approved marketplace services.

  5. Nufaa fulfils orders: Nufaa arranges delivery through its approved suppliers and records the purchase and reward application.

  6. Nufaa contributes to LUNC burns: Separately, Nufaa proposes to introduce a transparent burn policy, with the calculation and funding source published and independently verifiable on-chain.

The staking, rewards and purchase mechanisms would need to be technically validated before launch. Customer funds and assets would remain separate from Nufaa’s corporate treasury.

3. What Could This Bring to Terra Classic?

Real-world utility: Connect LUNC staking participation with everyday purchases rather than limiting its role to holding or trading.

Greater ecosystem engagement: Give customers a practical reason to learn about and participate in Terra Classic staking.

Everyday value: Allow customers to explore using rewards generated from their own staked assets to help pay for essential digital services.

Transparent LUNC burns: Establish a separately accounted, verifiable mechanism through which Nufaa can contribute to reducing LUNC supply.

Measurable adoption: Track participating customers, staking-related activity where verifiable and appropriately consented, completed purchases and cumulative burns.

Potential expansion: If the pilot demonstrates sustainable results, extend the model to more services, suppliers and markets.

4. Proposed 90–120-Day Pilot

Phase 1 — Design and safeguards (Days 1–20)

  • Finalise the staking and rewards architecture.

  • Define how rewards can be authorised and applied to purchases.

  • Establish validator selection criteria and wallet security requirements.

  • Agree the burn policy, technical scope, budget and performance indicators.

Phase 2 — Development and testing (Days 21–50)

  • Develop the agreed staking-reward and marketplace integration.

  • Test reward calculations, transaction records, order processing and supplier fulfilment.

  • Review security, customer disclosures and operational controls.

Phase 3 — Controlled pilot (Days 51–90)

  • Launch to a limited group if the system is ready and required approvals have been obtained.

  • Measure successful purchases, reward utilisation, service fulfilment and customer experience.

  • Begin the agreed burn process if its conditions have been satisfied.

Phase 4 — Evaluation (Days 91–120)

  • Publish a report covering technical performance, adoption, completed purchases, burns and expenditure.

  • Identify operational and compliance issues.

  • Recommend whether the model should be expanded, modified or discontinued.

5. Risk Management and Transparency

Staking rewards are variable and are not guaranteed to cover any particular purchase amount. Customers would need clear information about validator risks, network conditions, fees, unbonding periods and possible changes in reward rates.

The model must also establish exactly how rewards are transferred or authorised for use, who controls the relevant wallet interactions, how the value of rewards is calculated and how failed transactions are handled.

Nufaa would not promise fixed returns, guaranteed purchase coverage, LUNC price appreciation or a predetermined burn quantity.

6. Community Call to Action

We invite the Terra Classic community, developers and validators to help us refine the model, assess technical feasibility and establish a responsible framework for connecting staking rewards with everyday commerce.

We welcome feedback on:

  • The safest and most practical staking-reward integration.

  • Suitable validator and wallet arrangements.

  • How staking rewards could be applied to marketplace purchases.

  • A transparent and sustainable LUNC burn policy.

  • Appropriate milestones and measures of success.

Join the discussion on Terra Classic Agora:

That clarifies Nufaa’s core proposition. The Terra Classic proposal should focus on a LUNC staking-powered rewards marketplace, where customers stake their own LUNC, use the staking rewards generated to pay for everyday goods and services, and Nufaa contributes to LUNC burns through a separate, transparent mechanism.

There is one important distinction: staking rewards may vary, so we should not promise customers that their rewards will always cover their purchases.

Here is the revised proposal.

Our Vision

Nufaa wants to explore a model in which participation in Terra Classic can connect with practical everyday needs. By combining customer-controlled staking, authorised use of variable rewards, digital marketplace services and transparent burn reporting, we aim to test a meaningful real-world utility use case.

Nufaa Technologies Limited
Everyday Spending. More Value.

My recommendation: before submitting this to Agora, we should confirm one critical operational detail: will customers keep their staking rewards in their own wallets and manually authorise each purchase, or will Nufaa use a separate authorisation mechanism to apply rewards to purchases? That choice materially affects the technical design, security controls and regulatory analysis. Our Vision
